WELCOME TO MY NEW PHOTOGRAPHY WEBSITE
My name is Dave Simmons and I have been interested in wildlife,especially wild birds, since I was a child.
I started taking birding more seriously about 8 years ago when I became a member of the local Ogston Bird Club based at Ogston Reservoir in Derbyshire.
My local patch around the village where I live is mainly farmland with some small areas of woodland and former mining areas now reclaimed for conservation. I also watch the new local trails that were formerly the routes of the old colliery railway lines that nature is gradually taking over again.
I am also a very keen amateur photographer and love taking photographs. Wildlife and Birds mainly but also Landscapes & Nature. Getting a good quality photo of a wild bird can be very difficult as birds don't tend to stay still for very long and are usually quite some distance away. It requires lots of patience, lots of time and luck but mainly by simply getting out there as often as you can to try and get that really "great" photo.

Tree Pipit, Redstart, Garden Warbler, Pied Flycatcher and many Blackcaps.
Still no new photo's though, birds not playing today. Will visit again when it's sunny to try and get some pics.
All images displayed are "Low Resolution" due to Internet constraints but some original full size "Hi Resolution" images will be available to purchase soon in 2012.
